Welcome to Your Performance Data Hub
Sport science and data analysis are powerful tools that work alongside your training expertise and instinct. Heart rate data, speed metrics, stride analysis, and lactate testing reveal exactly how your horses are responding to work, their aerobic capacity, and optimal intensity zones. These objective measurements take the guesswork out of fitness assessment and training load management. The workflows contained in the Equilytics Platform are presented as Apps and undertake several of the key workflows that can make a difference to the efficiency and success of your stable.
Race readiness predictions combine multiple performance indicatorsβspeed ratings, lactate values, training consistency, and historical dataβto give you an objective assessment of where each horse stands. This information helps you decide between horses for the same race, or time a campaign to hit peak fitness on the right day. Each app within the platform targets specific aspects of performance management, from tracking daily readiness to analyzing lactate responses and planning race-day strategies.
Ultimately, you know these horses bestβtheir quirks, preferences, and what they're telling you each morning. This data supports your expertise with measurable information, helping you make confident decisions and giving you peace of mind that you're doing everything possible to have your horses ready when it counts.
π’ Platform Status & App Guide
The Equilytics Platform is live with several apps available for use.
β€οΈ EQUIMETRE APP
This app reports on the day's training session with a series of tables and a substantial graphics package to visualise the data. By holding your mouse over the base of the bar graphs or dots on the line graphs, you can see the associated content. There are sections for the top 3 horses in each metric, the top performers for the day, plus physiological insights for horses that reach high speeds during the workout and produce excellent recovery (REC 1MIN% or REC 2MIN%). This data starts to show which horses need to go racing.
π― READINESS APP
This compares your horses to the field in which it is proposed to race against. The ML PRED (Machine Learning Prediction) is the main metric. The prediction will get better over time as more readiness reports are generated and compared to the actual race results.
π RACE DAY SUMMARY
The Race Day Summary includes all the horses racing that day into one summary page. The key metrics are all displayed but only your horses are included in the report. The key metric is ML Predict which is the predicted placing of the horses in their race. The other powerful metric is the Q-Rating LS which gives an indication of form. The closer to zero with a negative number the better, but positive scores indicate that the horse performed better than standard last start for that track, distance and going. Elite races and their horses always have positive numbers. A Q-Rating LS of -25.2 is a poor performance. Two other metrics to consider are the Speed Rating Last Start (SR LS) and the Peak Speed Rating (Peak SR). If these 2 metrics are wide apart then the horse is out of form.
πͺ EXERCISE PRESCRIPTION APP
This is where you can improve the efficiency of the whiteboard approach. In a short time you can load individual workouts or templates which are stored 7 or 14 days of prescribed workouts called Training Templates. Likewise we have Racing Templates which are balanced workouts on the days between 2 races. When one race finishes and the next is selected, depending on the days between, you can select that number (e.g., 12 days racing cycle) and the workouts will be automatically loaded into the Exercise Prescription app.
π
SCHEDULING APP
Here you can view all workouts for tomorrow's date or any other date, as long as there have been exercise prescriptions loaded. It is envisaged that initially a physical printout of all horses working tomorrow will be printed out and taken to the stables. The printout can be by training load, training location, age, sex, or importantly staff. For example, if Gemma was looking after the training of her 10 horses, she would see what has been planned for the workouts by the head trainer. All this data is also on mobile devices so the content is held in the back pocket of staff that have been given access. One of the good points is that the data is loaded in real-time. So if Gemma pulls her mobile and ticks off one of her horses, the head trainer can see automatically that that horse has completed its workout.
π§ͺ LACTATE ANALYSER
This app has taken all your lactate results and collated them into a more manageable presentation for further analysis.
π REMOTE ACCESS
I have set up the platform and trainer portal so it will work remotely. Planning for each horse can be completed at the campsite overlooking the lake. You do not need an internet connection - as long as your mobile works, you can do some quality exercise prescription or data analytics.
π‘ LEARNING CURVE
As with anything, it will take a little effort to master the platform and trainer portal, but the benefits long-term will be substantial.
